With its 500 mines, Calico produced over $20 million in silver ore over a 12-year span. When silver lost its value in the mid-1890's, Calico lost its population.

High Desert Roundup at Slash X Ranch near Barstown, CA This is our annual event over the Memorial Weekend to give back to a great organization that supports us. This is for the Cal4Wheel Association. This is an import fundraising event, but this is also a fun filled weekend for the entire family. Every year for over a decade we bring the Giant teeter totter and as a club, we help Cal4Wheel by manning this fun game.
