Great weather, little wind, not too hot.
6 rigs camped out Friday thru Sunday.
DuWayne and Tina, Joe Picker, Jed and Phil, Mike (Sully), Bob (master mechanic)
Boltner,
and Me.
Another rig came in Sat. nite to camp. John C.
2 day tripper jeeps on Sat.
Mike W. friend Jim, Gary Martin and friend.
On Saturday we did Isham Cyn. with only a couple minor issues.
We had 6 jeeps and 2 other rigs that people were calling JK's. (12 total
people).
The group did their best to keep the 2 JK's from having to make appointments at
the body shop.
The 12 travelers had lunch at the top of Isham while enjoying the views.
We then switched trail bosses and Mike W. led us up Goler wash.
A number of different ruins were explored along with the homestead where Charlie
Manson and his gang hung out.
Mike filled us in on some of the details of the gangs last stand before they
were brought in.
Sunday dawned with 4 of the jeeps heading off to the Defense Mine area.
John C. led us up the usual Waterfall "0", Waterfall ".5", and the more
difficult cutoff that heads up to the Mine.
Then for a change of pace we checked out Lookout Mtn, Lookout City ruins, and
some of the abandoned gold mines.
A Burro family of 3 were hanging out on top of Lookout Mtn.
I will try to list the minor issues for those interested.
Steering box seal that blew before loading on the trailer at home. (Jeff).
Master Mechanic Bob brought a spare steering box and we changed it out up at the
camp.
Below were all different rigs and/or issues.
Tow rig tire slashed by a tough desert bush while pulling into camp.
Thrown sepentine belt.
Over heating issues.
ARB compressor acting up.
another compressor not working.
Sidewall tear
Air hose problems
C0 2 tank regulator frozen
Maybe some more that I missed.
Others can add to this as they see fit.
Respectfully,
Jeff
