Hungry Valley/Gorman Club Run

Run Report from last weekend at Gorman/Hungry Valley:

I got out to the Aliklik Camp area in Hungry Valley Friday night with club guest Mark Englander with his TJ. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful evening weather.

Saturday morning we got up early and hit the rock pile in the practice area. Mark came up to get some seat time in the big (loose) rocks. He did real good, we ran the pile 6 times and the line changed everytime we ran the course! Eric B. and his friend arrived about noon nearly the same time a few more of my guys did. His red Cherokee is really looking good! That is when we then organized a “follow the leader” run (lead by me of course) over and thru several of the river bed and canyons we have found the last few times out there. Turns out there is some good stuff right there in the park if you really look for it… Eric and the other guys had a great time. We were out driving around until about 6pm. When we got back John Cary had arrived and wanted to try the rock pile. His new springs worked great!

We went back to camp and all sat around bench racing while enjoying a few appetizers until it was time to get some sleep.

The next morning Ric F had arrived so we all went back over to try our luck on the rock pile again. This time there were more people who were there for a 4 Wheel Parts customer appreciation play day/BBQ.

Ric had his hands full as the rock pile was really getting torn up and even the buggys were getting stuck! I think he made it all the way thru a couple times.

We all had a good time and nobody broke anything.

We wrapped it all up about 3pm and headed back. Can’t wait to get out again!
