The 2015 Poker run was a great time.
There was 9 Jeeps in all. If I forget your name please let me know. Sadly I didn't write any names down. But I know for sure that John Cary, Rich W.,Jerome,Dwayne,Mike,Randy,Gary,Jason and myself.
We were going to start out by running Slant Ranch, but sadly it's officially closed! It's all blocked off with a large "Road Closed" sign.
So we went over to Last Chance Canyon. The weather was chilly in the morning and a bit windy. Once in the canyon the wind stopped. It soon warmed up. There was not a cloud in the sky.
We made our way through the V notch. Not to much difficulty as the sand and silt has made the exit easier than the last time I ran it.
Along the way we stopped a few times and cards were drawn for the poker run.
We stopped for lunch at Cuddy Camp. After lunch we went over to Bickel Camp. We hung out for awhile looking around. Then we went to the Burro Schmidt Tunnel. Some of us walked the half mile each way through the tunnel.
With daylight fading we drew our last card. And did the gift exchange at the tunnel.
Then we made our way to pavement to air up. The sun was about down by the time we finished airing up. The air quickly turned cold.
It was another great trip. It was great to get out again. This was my first time going with some of the new members.
